The video gaming industry is a huge deal. Billions are spend on it and a lot of people are getting rich because of it. The industry is also massively influencing other fields. What is most notable though is that video gaming is becoming bigger than the music and movie industries in most countries. When it comes to computer and console gaming, the future outlook in general seems to be positive. To give you an idea of where the video game industry is going, here are some of the current trends.

The most obvious is that the video game industry as a whole continues to command respect in the worldwide market. It is also attracting support and collaborations from other forms of media. To be more accurate, video gaming is gaining support from big companies specialising in other forms of entertainment.

Another common trend in the video game industry is the rise of virtual goods transactions. This is how it works — you create a free online game, a fantasy-oriented one for example. Your players need to fight each other and for them to win, they need better armour and weapons. To get better equipment, they can buy some for a low price. However, even if prices are cheap, if there are millions of users who buy, then that could really add up to a huge sum!

Aside from virtual goods, social video gaming has also become a hit these days. People just want to play more if they can do so with their friends!

Clearly, computer and video gaming are not going to disappear soon but will break a lot of unexplored grounds instead!

If you are looking for ways to liven up your family car, especially with your kids in mind, then having video game paraphernalia inside the vehicle is definitely the way to go!

You probably already know how kids can get easily bored or distraught during long journeys. They will bawl, whine, complain, and do everything to make the trip into a stressful activity. Music or videos may work to entertain them, but not for long. If you have two kids in the backseat, they would probably just fight over what music to listen to or what video to watch. As you may know, being a referee while driving is not an easy task, unless you are supermom or dad. With a video game console inside your vehicle though, there is much to keep the children entertained. Plus, you can actually purchase education-oriented video games that would teach your kids a lot of things while allowing them to have loads of fun.

For your purchase of an in-car entertainment to be really worth it, buy a video game player that allows you to play music and movies as well. This will ensure the variety of diversions you can employ during extended trips. If the kids are not around and your older friends and relatives are your passengers instead, the music or the video can easily entertain them as well. As you can see, there are a lot of things to be gained from a multi-purpose in-car video game console, so you should consider getting one!

Do you run a store selling computer and video games? Maybe your shop sells computer parts and video game consoles and accessories? Whatever the case, if you are running a retail store, here are some management guidelines you may want to employ to make your business a lot better.

To start, take note that any retail store is nothing without its customers. It is then crucial to satisfy your clients in terms of products, services, and price. If your business is large enough to employ several employees, make sure that you let your subordinates understand the importance of treating customers well. Train your staff to communicate with your buyers pleasantly. Of course, it is also a good management practice to treat your staff fairly and properly. Give constructive criticisms and praise them for their achievements. A happy staff will be better in dealing with customers and this will definitely help the bottom line — making the clients happy!

Another vital management concern is the marketing of your products. In order for you to sell your goods, make sure they are displayed as attractively on the shelves as possible. Keep the piles of merchandise neat and ensure that the labels are visible. Do not hesitate to put up creative signs or posters to advertise what you are selling.

Finally, since a retail store involves various items, you can organize things better by getting reliable retail software. This can help you with things like customer tracking, Point of Sale, inventory management, and more. Always be mindful of the details and you will guide your business to success!

The real estate market is very challenging, no doubt about that. One of the main reasons why start-up real estate dealers fail is because they could not handle the competition. However, there will always be people out there who would want a new house or a space for their business. All a realtor has to do is learn new ways to market a property – ways that would really attract serious buyers.

One of the great ways you can draw in customers is to create a virtual real estate open house. The reason behind this is that traditional open houses had been great for bringing new business to realtors. However, since most property listings are now found online, few people frequent open houses. Still, these online listings only contain written details of the house and a few pictures. However, home buyers today are expressing dissatisfaction with this setup. They want to know what the house really looks like, but they still do not want to go through the trouble of traditional open houses. This is where a virtual tour of the property becomes useful. Customers will be able to view the property without leaving their computer monitors! Doing this will certainly give you the edge over the competition.

There are several ways of creating a virtual open house. You can do it through videos or pictures. To make it more elaborate, you can program a 3D model of the property. Whatever you do, just keep in mind to let people view all parts of the house because that is what they really want — to know what they are getting into!

Computer gaming is fun, but it can also strain the eyes — especially if you play for hours on end. Take note that computer images are simply hundreds of tiny dots in your computer. This means that your eyes cannot focus on something distinctive. You may argue that you can see things sharply enough, but know that in order for you to view computer images clearly, your eyes have to focus and refocus constantly. After two hours of this, your vision is already very strained and that is why you get that gritty and dry feeling in your eyes. Therefore, for your continuous enjoyment of gaming well into the future, you must ensure that you keep your visual organs healthy.

Here are some optical wellness tips you should follow. First, keep below eye level the top of your monitor. When you look straight ahead of you, you should be able to peek at what is behind the computer screen. The reason behind this is that the eyes can focus better if looking slightly downward. Next, make sure the PC screen is at least 20 to 24 inches away from your eyes. You should blink constantly as well. Additionally, when you play computer games, do it in a room with appropriate lighting. If you are constantly viewing dark images against a light background, room lighting should be brighter. Do not forget to take eye breaks every 20 minutes and look at various distant objects in the room. If your eyes become really tired, use drops to soothe them. All these things can really combat eye muscle fatigue so do practice them.

If you are a computer gamer, avid or casual, shopping online can be very convenient for you. This is because you can easily download the game after you pay for it. Once the download is finished, you can now start playing — it is as simple as that. You do not have to go to local game stores anymore. You do not have to browse the aisles and you do not have to fall in line near the counter as well. Most importantly, you do not have to go through the hassle of commuting or driving to a store just to find out that they do not have the game you want in stock!

Even with all these conveniences though, you still have to be careful in shopping online because it is undeniable that there are unscrupulous stores out there. The dishonest ones would not only run away with your money, but will give you viruses, adwares, or spywares as well! To make your online computer game shopping more fulfilling, heed these few simple guidelines.

First, do not buy a game unless you have researched enough about it and made certain that you like it. Next, avail of free trials so that you can see if the game is worth the money and time you will soon spend. If you are ready to buy, gather feedback about the store first. Negative feedback means stay away from the shop pronto! Be careful also of giving away your details. Always exercise caution so you do not get burned.

The computer game industry is a very fast growing entity. In fact, it is a huge contributor in the economy of several countries. In these nations, computer gaming is even bigger than local movie industries! With these things in mind, investing in a business that deals with computer games is pretty much a good idea. The first thing to do is decide in which field of the computer game industry you want to invest in. Your choices would include the game publishing, retailing, console manufacturing, and accessory (joysticks, dance pads, etc) manufacturing fields. No matter what you choose though, there is money to be gained from the enterprise. However, a growing industry does not guarantee investment success, so just mind these few business investing reminders.

To begin with, invest only in a business that you can have faith in. This means you should be sure that the company can give or exceed your expected returns. In order to make a confident investing decision, you must thoroughly check all the aspects of the business. It must have a unique and effective product or service that would continue to draw customers even during lean times. The business should also have great future financial and market plans. Additionally, the company must be managed by reliable and skilled individuals. If the firm also has a proven track record, then it is a good choice. Finally, you should make sure that the company has no hidden liabilities. If you have ascertained the viability of the business fully, you can now invest with certainty.

Any computer or video gaming experience is made more exciting and fulfilling if you actually have superb electronics. This means that you have to get a great computer, monitor, game console, sound system, and everything else! The following are some of the factors to consider when getting the best gaming devices.

The first consideration is your computer specifications. Most computer games today would not run if your PC (Personal Computer) has a slow processor, low Random Access Memory, and low hard disk memory. To make sure that you can really enjoy that RPG (role-playing game) or arcade; look at its box or DVD back cover. You will see there the required specifications to run – compare this to the capacity of your computer and do not buy it if your PC cannot handle it. Next, you should get a great monitor as well. This is because even if the game can be handled by your computer but the video quality is crappy, you still cannot enjoy it.

Aside from computer games, you may also enjoy video gaming. If so, you also need to have an excellent video game console in your possession. A lot of manufacturers have now created consoles that are small (for portability and style purposes) but still pack a punch. Get the product that is durable and one that offers you great ease in terms of controls or joystick handling.

Most importantly, you should get gaming electronics that can withstand constant and often rough use. Take note that the bottom line is for you to enjoy playing — broken devices will defeat that purpose!

Every computer and video gamer definitely has aspirations of going to at least one gaming convention. After all, such events are simply the greatest!

If you go to such a gathering, you are sure to meet other fellow hardcore gamers whom you can talk to all day! You will also learn new game tricks there and you will finally be able to defeat that mad monk you have been trying to beat down for ages now. Aside from these, good conventions tend to invite the big wigs in the gaming industry and you can then get an autograph from them! Moreover, you might even be able to bring home freebies like T-shirts, game CDs, posters, and more! Going to a convention is without a doubt a very fulfilling activity for a gamer.

Therefore, do you not think it is time to start organizing your travel to a gaming convention as early as now? If you do not know it yet, there are actually a lot of computer game-related gatherings held in various cities and countries everywhere. All you have to do is find out when the soonest is and then arrange your travel and accommodations for it!

Naturally, you have to observe a few travelling rules to make your trip more rewarding. If you are travelling to another country, check if there are any visa requirements and prepare for that. To make your travel easier, book your flights and accommodation over the Net in advance. Pack the appropriate things for your travel and do not forget to observe airport regulations. Finally, get on that plane and enjoy that gaming convention to the fullest!

If you are into computer and video games, how many times have you wished that no one disturbs you while you are pummelling your enemy to the ground or mastering that pretty tricky manoeuvre? Well, if you have yearned for this so many times already, why not get your own gaming room? This can be easily done by renovating a part of your house to become your gaming haven!

As with any other home improvement jobs, creating your private computer gaming room would take work. Take heart though because everything will be all worth it in the end. To start, decide which part of the house you want to convert as your gaming room. To give you an idea, you can use any vacant room in the house, your garage, or your own bedroom. In fact, this does not have to be a whole room — a private corner will do.

Once you have decided where to set up, start bringing in the necessary furniture. For a gaming room to be most effective, it must have all the necessary paraphernalia — an ass-kicking computer, the consoles, a cool monitor or two, several DVD racks for storing your game DVDs of course, a number of hard disks, and the joysticks and controls. If you do not have all these equipment yet, just appropriate enough space for them as you will eventually buy them in the future, right? Of course you also need to have a comfortable chair to sit on and a small table where you can place your snacks. Throw in some game-related decors in the room and you are all set!

When people go shopping for computer games, it is generally for entertainment purposes. Some would look for those educational ones. No matter what your needs are though, make sure that you obtain the most enjoyable games by following these smart shopping techniques.

To begin with, determine what genre gives you maximum enjoyment. Is it fantasy, horror, romance, adventure, puzzle solving, shooting games, or games based on real life? Next, determine the kind of game-play you like – RPG, arcade, MMPORPG (massively multiplayer online role-playing game), first person point of view game, etc. After you have determined these things, it is time to research the game titles available for your needs. To do this, simply surf the Internet and tailor your search according to what you like. Get to know more about the games you come across by reading other people’s reviews about them. Of course, do not forget to read their description and product specifications. Make sure that the game is compatible to your computer or to your console.

Once you find something you like, go to comparison websites and contrast store prices to get the best deals. Then you can start shopping online – this is the better way of doing things because your local computer game shop may not carry the title you want to buy. Exercise caution though and buy only from reliable online shops. After you place your order, all you have to do is wait for the product to arrive at your address, and you can then start playing your heart out!

The negative risk is high for online gamers, to begin with. Sometimes parents have the tendency to underestimate the potential of their children of becoming addicted to online gaming. It might be off for kids especially the adolescent ones but parental guidance is still and is always recommended. Mothers and fathers should understand the pros and cons of becoming a parent to an online gamer.

Education

Observation. Check out the games your children play and whom they play with. Place the computer or game console in a place where it can be easily monitored if needed.

Addicted to Video-Games

Rules. Typical rules include limiting play time, playing with off-line world friends only, and never chatting with strangers or giving out any personal information, including the child’s real name or where they live.

Monitor game chats and messages. If a player is using inappropriate language, encourage your child to tell you.

You may be able to select the offending player’s name from the players list to mute or block their messages, or you can report them to game administrators using e-mail or feedback. Check the game site in question for more information.

Privacy. Advise your kids to never give out any personal information (name, age, gender, or home address), pictures of themselves, or agree to meet someone in person, when using online chats.

Make sure they know to tell you immediately if someone asks them for this information.

Use voice chat wisely. Some game systems allow voice chatting with other players through the use of a headset. This is not recommended for younger children.

look alike an online game character

Choose appropriate names. Have your child use suitable screen or character names (also called gamertags) that follow the rules of the game site. These names should not reveal any personal information or potentially invite harassment.

Be aware of cyber bullies. Learn how to deal with bullies in online games, also known as griefers.

Teach your kids cyber safe habits. Tell your kids that if they feel uncomfortable with anything that’s going on in a game, they should stop playing and tell you about it immediately, so you can record and report the issue if necessary.

Participate. One of the safer ways for your kids to play online games is if you play with them. This may be the last thing they want to do, especially if they’re older kids, but it’s a good way to help them learn how to deal with others online while still having fun.

Unlike the two online games that are previously mentioned (Cabal and Flyff), this time, the Freestyle online game is more of being an MMOFPS (massively multiplayer online first-person shooting game) rather than an MMORPG. The primary reason for this is that the Freestyle game is a basketball game, not a fantasy, action or adventure game.

More popularly known as the Freestyle Street Basketball (Online), the game is developed by JC Entertainment and published by Sierra Online. PC – online can serve as its platform and the genre of the game is also identified as online sports. It was released only last year, specifically in May 15, 2007.

freestyle shoot

What sets the Freestyle online game apart from the rest of computer basketball games is that this game provides you with a real opponent rather than just having a predictable opponent in your basketball game. You can choose among 1-on-1, 2-on-2, or even 3-on-3. What even adds to the excitement of the game is its feature that allows you to customize your own team, especially in terms of clothing and appearance, from the shirt and even the face up to the pants. And eventually, as soon as you have the look of your team and your position done, you can still actually play a practice prior to the real match of a 1-on-1 game. To improve further your player’s and your team’s performance in the game, you can avail of skills and items that are made available and being sold in online shops.

It is amazing indeed to play even one single game of Freestyle. With this game, basketball is made much more fun by allowing you, the player, to play against other real teams online.

If you are in for a real adventure, incorporated with the sport you love most, basketball, then Freestyle Street Basketball Online is perfect for you.

Flyff has grown to become a favourite of many because it has cute graphics, which attracts its followers, young and old alike. Basically, the mechanics and rules of the game are simple. Chatting, killing monsters (or beasts, as they call it), vending – these are what the game is focused at. The game also involves buying of items using virtual dollars or money. That involves, bargaining or scamming the prices of these items. Items can be bought so that the character gets to be more powerful in the game. Of course, increasing of level is also part of the game, where it consists of many ways. There are more than 80 levels and breathtaking activities and challenges await each level.

flyff online game

In the game, there are several distinct characters. For a particular character, meanwhile, there are also many types. There is the mobile type, the one on one type and the high breeds type. This is where the stats and the skill build come in.From there, the character is being sent to battle in five towns and three islands. The game is a measure of persuasiveness. Surely, creative tactics will prove to be of much use in the entire course of the game.

Its developer is Aeonsoft and is centred on the fantasy genre. Today, the developers are soon going to introduce new worlds with added fantastic attractions. It is a sure thing that you will be glued to your computer once you get oriented with the addictive game of Flyff.

The Cabal online game is classified as an MMORPG (massively multiplayer online role-playing game) that deals with six basic combat skills – warrior, blader, wizard, force archer, force shielder, and force blader. Together, these six are coined as the ‘Authentic Six’. Each skill is distinct, special, and has its own characteristics in terms of types, skills, ranks, and others. The game centres on the world of Nevareth, a place that has been consumed by war and some natural forces. It offers several adventures, excitement and opportunities in store for its players. Also, it has over 200 quests so you will never find a dull time playing the game. Its challenges are time-stopping, in a vast range of adventures and at a fast pace. Its mechanics, too, are simple and easy to comprehend. The plots and the story lines are creatively done. The quests incorporated are also imaginative. The game also has that intriguing nature and is fun and easy at the same time. It combines both adventure and action. Aside from those, the quests, plots and missions are also equally intuitive, intricate and interesting.

Cabal

On a technical side, the game is made more exciting with the graphics that can take your breath away. The graphics are fabulous, optimized and at high frames.

The developer is responsible for the wonderful creation of the Cabal online game, which is hitting its waves and highly popular in Europe, is ESTsoft. The main genre of the game is fantasy, and its main platform is Windows.

Surely, fun and challenge are at their maximum, with the Cabal online game. With that, it is a fun and imaginative world you have, there in the world of Cabal.

Online gaming provides anyone with a seemingly endless collection of adrenaline-rushing, brain-stimulating and mind-boggling games that are fit for every taste and generation. Various online games of different types and genres are being conceptualized, introduced and marketed that are sure to cover various interests and personalities alike.According to a Stanford study, the popular online games include the territory- and the aggression-type games. Nevertheless, there are several others that are equally challenging and interesting. Generally, the types of online games include, but not limited to, the ones as follows:

3D timber trumps cards

Action and Adventure Games. These are games that include space adventure and fighting. They may also include those that are situational in nature, in which the game player must reach or achieve the objectives or mission being given. These games are also usually having a rich animation and a complex story line.Strategy Games. Games of this genre generally require a longer time to play, complete and finish. In order to succeed in the game, the player needs to think of new strategies so he or she can win the game.Card Games. Needless to say, these are games that involve cards, and so interest particularly those card-lovers. A lot of games fall in this genre.Puzzle Games. One of the most popular types of online games, puzzle games are interesting for sharpening one’s mind and for the reason that they do not restrict anyone nor consider the ages.Arcade Games. These are games that are commonly seen and played in gaming machines. In order to play a game, coins must be inserted into the machine.Shooting Games. Obviously, games of this type are those where you need to shoot enemies and objects in a certain game.

online basketball game

Casino Games. These are games that are simulations of real casino games. They are more likely to involve only virtual money. However, in some cases, there are also those games that may require transactions involving real money.Board Games. Also one of the most famous types of online games, board games also serve as simulations of the board games we play in real life, although now, they are in animated versions.Sports Games. These are interesting because they allow you to play your favourite sport over the Internet. You do not need to have a real court or equipment, as you can play the game in your PC. It also needs lesser time to comprehend the rules and the how-to’s of the game as long as the mechanics of the real sport is mastered.

It has occurred to the people that 1994 or 1995 was the inception of online games. Doom and Warcraft were the popular that time and media was not featuring the said phenomenon then. The birth of Internet was in 1993 and that was the advent of online gaming, too. But actually, as far as Internet history is solely concerned, online gaming started about 1969, 39 years ago.

1969
Rick Blomme writes a two-player version of MIT’s famous Spacewar for the PLATO service. PLATO was one of the first time-sharing systems dedicated to experimenting with new ways to use computers for education. Originally built in the late 1960’s at the University of Illinois/Urbana, it blossomed into a system that, by about 1972, could host about 1,000 simultaneous users.

1970-1977
Several more games appear on the PLATO service. Multi player games that appeared on PLATO include a version of Star Trek, a Dungeons and Dragons-style game named Avatar which later became the genesis of the first Wizardry! PC game and a flight simulator named Airfight.

The crew of NCC-1701-D

1979
Roy Trubshaw and Richard Bartle head up development of the first working Multi-User Dungeon (MUD) on the DEC-10 at the Essex University, Colchester, UK.

1979-1980
Various versions of the Essex mud are released on the university’s mainframe. In 1980, what is now considered the “classic” mud is installed and runs for nine years. Eventually, the popularity of the game with hackers and non-hackers alike causes computer resources to be eaten at a tremendous rate and the university restricts playing time to the evening hours.

1982-83
Although the mud code is copyrighted, Bartle is pretty liberal about sharing it with other colleges and universities for education purposes. Someone at one of those institutions starts passing around the source code to friends. By the end of 1983, hundreds of illegal copies have been distributed around the world, starting the free access mud craze at universities and, eventually, on the Internet.

1982
Kesmai Corporation is formed by John Taylor and Dr. Kelton Flinn and receives its first contract, to develop an ASCII text role-playing game for CompuServe. The game would later launch as Islands of Kesmai.

Bill Louden, in charge of games at CompuServe, buys an ASCII space combat simulator called DECwars on DEC mainframe computer tape for $50.00. He hands it off to Kesmai and it eventually launches as MegaWars I.

1983
Kesmai launches MegaWars I on CompuServe. Finally closed down in circa 1998, it was the longest-running for-pay online game in history. That honor now resides with the current incarnation of the Trubshaw/Bartle mud, MUD II.

1984
The first commercial version of mud is released on Compunet in England.
Islands of Kesmai is released on CompuServe. The game will run for approximately thirteen years and will eventually spawn a graphics-based version, Legends of Kesmai, which is available today on AOL and Gamestorm.

Mark Jacobs forms the company that will eventually become AUSI and then Mythic Entertainment. He sets up a server system in his house and installs 8 phone lines to run his text-based role-playing game Aradath. Cost to play: $40 a month. This may be the first instance of a professionally run, flat-rate online gaming service.

1985
Bill Louden convinces General Electric’s Information Services division to fund a commercial, ASCII-based service similar to CompuServe, using the evening hours excess capacity on GEIS’s mainframe computers. Named GEnie by Bill’s wife (GE Network for Information Exchange), it premiers in October to much hoopla. It is the first serious competition to CompuServe; price in the evening hours is $6 an hour for both 1200 and 300bps. This is half of CompuServe’s price for 1200bps access.

In November, Quantum Computer Services (later to rename itself America Online) quietly launches QuantumLink, a graphics-based online service exclusively for Commodore 64/128 users. The price is $9.95 a month, plus about $5 an hour. QuantumLink’s graphic interface is a watershed in online services but, because the C-64/128 is already on the wane, no one seems to pay much attention. This will turn out to be a huge mistake on the part of competitors.
The Golden Age of the online services begins.

1986

Kesmai rewrites MegaWars I, files off the serial numbers and launches it on GEnie as Stellar Warrior. It is GEnie’s first multiplayer online game; it is not the last.

Jessica Mulligan, working as a volunteer librarian in the Apple II RoundTable on GEnie, finds Stellar Warrior. After her account is turned off by Genie three times for playing too much, she snags a contract to write a combined Chat-based/Email-based space strategy game. The Rim Worlds War launches at mid-year; it is the first Play-By-Email (PBEM) game on a commercial online service.

Kesmai begins pre-alpha testing of Air Warrior, a WWII combat flight simulator and the first true graphics-based Massively Multiplayer Game, on GEnie. The Macintosh version is demonstrated on multiple terminals at the GEnie booth at the West Coast Computer Faire in early 1986 in San Francisco. The 20,000 attendees are wowed.
QuantumLink begins testing Rabbit Jack’s Casino, the second graphics-based online game in the commercial online services industry. In conjunction with LucasFilms, development on Habitat begins.

Snowbirds – 431 Squadron

Steve Case from Quantum Computer Services begins camping out in Cupertino, CA, trying to get John Sculley to allow Apple Computers, Inc. to support a graphics-based online service for Apple II computers. After over 200 days of persistent nagging, Sculley finally agrees.

1987

Air Warrior is released on GEnie early in the year.

Rabbit Jack’s Casino is released on QuantumLink.

Kesmai’s file scraping worked so well for Stellar Warrior, they strip the serial numbers from MegaWars III and launch it as Stellar Emperor on GEnie.

After working with the private BBS-based role-playing and gaming service Spectre, David Whately sells his idea for a text-based online game to GEnie. Gemstone goes into alpha testing late in the year and what will become Simutronics Corporation is born.
A stripped-down version of mud launches on CompuServe as British Legends.
Quantum Computer Services hires Kent Fillmore, President of International Apple Core, Inc., to start recruiting sysops for it’s upcoming Apple II only service, AppleLink-Personal Edition. He recruits and contracts with Jessica Mulligan to manage the Apple II Games Forum.

1988
The original Gemstone role-playing game is launched on GEnie as Gemstone II. Over the next two years, this text-based game will surpass Air Warrior as the most popular game on GEnie.

Quantum Computer Services launches AppleLink: Personal Edition for Apple II computers at the May AppleFest Convention in Boston. It also turns down both of AUSI’s games, Aradath and Galaxy II, for its online services, saying it doesn’t want to get into text-based games. Eight years later, it will reverse this decision and sign on both Gemstone III and Dragon’s Gate, the commercial version of Aradath, after realizing they left millions of dollars on the table for GEnie and CompuServe to snap up.

Jessica Mulligan, now a Quantum Computer Services employee, writes a white paper on the gaming industry and recommends that Quantum license the Advanced Dungeons and Dragons game from TSR, Inc. It does so, and AD&D: NeverWinter Nights is born, based on SSI’s Gold Box series of AD&D games. Once launched, NeverWinter Nights will run continuously for several years, even though the technology of the graphics interface is hopelessly outdated. In its last year of existence as a for-pay game, 1996, it will rake in an estimated $5 million dollars.

In the world of Magic the gathering duels, you have to choose which side are you in. Are you with the standard white knights, elves from the hidden Karplosan Forest, blue wizards of the seas, goblins and orc of the red or one of the black undead sorcerers? For its just being yourself, if you feel like playing more aggressive go on hasty red goblins or go to mighty elves and trees ents, you can even a wizard yourself if you play blue, go to massive fast creature damage white and or be one of the black who spread darkness and evil.

The most very important card in every deck is a massive destruction and no one beat up with Wrath of God because only white has those spells.

This card is very useful for a massive wipe out then cast those little birds and knight to bit your opponents life. the actual card is 2WW, four to cast with 2 White Lands. BUT this time the black has its own taste with spells like this, now they can own every color in the game because black has damnation card. Damnation is same with Wrath of God but the only this is that Damnation is a black card which is very useful in Mono Black Control Decks. So which side are you?

vs

And guess what, these cards are painted with the same artist Kev Walker. Kev Walker is one of the most greatest artist in all MTG, not only MTG but other TCG’s Trading Card Games. Wrath of God has a lot of version from Beta up to 9th edition which is the same with the most common killer card “Terror”.

Another year, another great standalone set for all Magic the Gathering players. Even I myself stopped playing for about a year but since I’m starting to like the game back again. why? because I want to explore my own skills during battle not just playing online games and lan games. Playing Magic The Gathering is one of the most excellent experience you will have, specially if you will qualify to Pro Tours like me. Once I was invited to Pro Tour and I end up number 2 Rank. I know it was my mistake back then to be such a greedy boy at game and it was the last duel I played magic then stopped. But know with these new set of cards, for sure I will play back again and regain my throne as the number one player in our place. I hope you agree with me playing this game instead of online? who knows we will just meet in the duel zone. Alrig

To start off, we will take Lorwyn’s set of cards to study first.

Elves are one of the most long living being in the world of Dominaria, even the time where Black Lotus exist to Gerrard’s Destiny and the legacy weapon broken, regain the Karplosan Forest by Kamahl, the red hasty hero with a very unique story of its own and restarted back Dominaria to start.

Now Dominaria lies Lorwyn, an perfect world of different races of fiction thrive. Lorwyn is covered with dense forests, large lakes, meandering rivers, high mountains, and gently meadows. Still you will never know where the evil starts from within Lorwyn itself. In Lorwyn, where different races live like Boggarts, ruthless Elves, and valiant Kithkin, which tribes will you choose, as you can relate to your own character in the real world called earth.

Elves live in a world of unforgiving perfection, this place will be the survival of the fittest — and none but the most beautiful and deadly are allowed to survive in Lorwyn. So when an elf warrior’s horns are shattered and his flawless features confused, he knows it is a death sentence.

Rockstar Games, the company that has brought the Grand Theft Auto (GTA) franchise announced on its website the official release date of the fourth installment of the popular simulation-action game.

GTA IV is set to be released this coming April 29 on American shelves, several months after the initial release date of October 17, 2007.

GTA IV

On this version, players return to a redesigned Liberty City and following the storyline of an East European named Nikolai “Niko” Bellic. The story is that Niko was persuaded by his cousin Roman to come join him in America who was according to his e-mails living a “fabulous life”, upon arriving Liberty City he found out the truth and the mess he was in.

Players have a lot to look for in GTA IV, besides the spectacular graphics there are gameplay changes that was incorporated in GTA IV. First, is that unlike the previous games where the main protagonist can easily steal a car by opening the car’s door and violently taking out the driver/owner, Niko needs to smash the cars window and hot wire it before he could use it. The animation for this is varied and random because niko would need a different approach per car.

Another change is that avoiding the law is more complicated and realistic, unlike before where a pay n’ spray is the outlaw’s ticket to freedom, now Niko needs to be creative if he wants to shake the cops off his trail.

Also, bystanders on GTA IV are wiser and more diverse, you could see pedestrians drinking soda, eating snacks and even scratching their nose and coughing. They could also pedestrians can now report crimes.

An Ode to Gaming

These are some of the changes and improvements players could anticipate with its release.

Overall, the look and feel of the game is well worth the wait. It would seem that GTA IV is more realistic and apparently more challenging to play, but the game can only be enjoyed by those who have a Playstation 3 and an Xbox 360, which given the current gaming situation in the Philippines only by a limited number of people.

Rockstar has stayed mum on the question if they would release a PC version of the game.

The old ragnarok maybe dead but not for the latest game ragnarok online 2 as they present the latest in 3D animation making the old 2D ragnarok to a 3D world.

This ragnarok have a bit weird on story lines because its based on Norse mythology, an old myth whom we don’t know. Ragnarok 2 has its new kind of gaming system, characters, class, skills and its entire world is different. You can choose from 3 races to choose from, known as the Norman, Ellr, and Dimago.

Ragnarok Online 2 introduces 3 races for players to play as; known as the Norman, Ellr, and Dimago.

Ragnarok 2 Norman Class

The Norman race has a human appearance and is the race that was played in RO1. They use the job System, allowing them to switch their job at will and take advantage of specialty skills. The original appearance of the Norman, a very childish look, was re-designed for a more mature look. The race’s name may likely be a reference to the historical Normans or Norsemen, given the game’s focus on Norse mythology. It could also be a portmanteau of the words “normal” and “human.”

Ragnarok 2 Ellr Class

The Ellr are a half-breed, born between an interracial relationship between the Normans and the Elves. They inhabit their own land known as “Alfheim”. After participating in the war between the eastern and western Normans, they returned to Alfheim, but have recently returned to Midgard to investigate why their “Mother Tree” fell silent. The power of an Ellr comes from the magical stones they possess, called “Stones of Ancestors”. These stones influence their skills, and as such the Ellr has no professions or classes. They may only equip two stones at a time, however. The original model of the concept Ellr appeared as a chibi art style. It was later redesigned to appear more normal in proportions, although still very childlike.

Ragnarok 2 Dimago Class

The Dimago are the rejected offspring of a relationship between the Colossus and Norman. They have apparently been under an enchanted sleep, and have no memory of their previous lives. They “fight with style” and are able to make use of dynamic skill trees. The characters are designed to be 7-8 heads tall in height (that of an average human.) This, compared to the Ellr which are 2~3 heads tall or the Normans which are 4~6 heads tall, means that the Dimago will be the tallest playable race in the game.
